Join Rowan for an incredible performance of high energy, intricate Bavarian folk dances. He will demonstrate various German and Austrian traditional dances such as the Waltz, Polka and Zwiefacher. Students will also have the chance to learn how to do the energetic  Schuhplattler– the famous German slap dance.

MUSIC – Learning balance, space awareness, coordination – Value dance works from Australia and other societies, cultures and times – Recognise differences in dance works from different times, cultures and societies.

SOCIETY & ENVIRONMENT – Ensure that schooling contributes to a socially cohesive society that respects and appreciates cultural, social and religious diversity – Students interact with people and cultures other than their own and are equipped to contribute to the global community.

LOTE – Intercultural knowledge and language awareness – Develop an understanding of some of the differences in how people eat and dress, sign and gesture, write and say things – Inspires interest in and respect for other cultures.
