Anthony Lawang -Youth Programs Co-ordinator
Anthony Lawang is Youth Programs Co-ordinator at Cultural Infusion, which involves the planning and delivery of youth orientated arts and cultural programs, both within the community and through schools. Anthony is an experienced grass roots facilitator of Hip Hop based youth projects and has great rapport with youth. Anthony (under the performance name of Lamaroc) has been active in the Bboy scene for 9 years. As a member of the “Fresh Sox” crew (3 times OZBBOY Champions), Anthony has travelled to the United States, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, Singapore and throughout Australia competing and performing. He is one of the most active dancers in Australia under the realm of funkstyles having performed and toured with the “Cat Empire” in 2003/2004 and also with DJ Dexta and the “Daily Shook Crew”.
Anthony’s latest achievements include being involved in contemporary physical theatre arts such as “Paradise City” from Branch Nebula in Brazil (Oct, 2007). This piece played at the Sydney Opera House, (Dec, 2006) and most recently toured Dance Festivals in Brazil (Oct – Nov 2007). He has also recently performed for the Fringe Festival in Melbourne, featuring in the Wicked Force production: Melbourne Breaks. He is about to embark on a national Cultural Infusion tour IndoBBoy Fusion that has been funded by Playing Australia.
