Aboriginal Culture for a Day (Prep – Grade 6)
The Aboriginal for a Day program is the perfect introduction into Indigenous history and culture. This appropriate education tool provides a series of empowering hands on workshops, for students of all ages.
The program, already enjoyed by hundreds of schools throughout Australia, encompasses storytelling, face painting, art, didgeridoo and dance. Students are broken up into small groups for workshops on each of the disciplines, before coming together for a final celebration. Students will develop a refreshing, eye-opening understanding and respect for Indigenous culture.
Members of the Noongar tribe and the Bibbulmann clan, Western Creation are one of the most inspiring Indigenous groups.
Western Creation, led by Big Al, promotes reconciliation, racial tolerance, and understanding between all people in Australia.
“The idea is to … get children interested in following cultural activities in their local area by promoting a national reconciliation message,” – Big Al
