Ian Roberts is Managing Director of I D Roberts Pty Ltd, a consulting and event management company with clients including Harold Mitchell Foundation, Mitchell and Partners, Museum Victoria, Strange Fruit, the Australia Council, Department of Communications Information Technology and Arts, Arts Victoria, Adelaide Festival, Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development, Booze Allen Hamilton, Dandolpo Partners and Corchrane-Harry Consultants.

Formerly the General Manager of the Melbourne Festival for six years and the Geelong Performing Arts Centre for five years, Ian Roberts is now the Executive Director of the Harold Mitchell Foundation, Chair Victorian Australia Day Committee, Deputy Chair Melbourne International Film Festival, Trustee Victorian Arts Centre, Chair Mpact Arts and Board member of Australian Centre for Contemporary Arts.

Ian Roberts was formerly Chair of International Concert Attractions Ltd, Playing Australia, the Confederation Australian International Arts Festivals, the Australian Performing Arts Centres Association and the Victorian Association of Performing Arts Centres and has held board positions with the Victorian Council for the Arts, Australian Entertainment Industry Employers Association and Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
