Internationally, our Mayibuye Performance Troupes engage disadvantaged young people through the performing arts, educate them about global citizenship and empower them to become positive leaders in their communities. Young people come together to participate in dance, drama, singing, poetry and life skills workshops.

Tours

We believe in the power of travel to promote equality, social justice and intercultural understanding.

Travelling alongside other like-minded Australians, you will spend two weeks visiting local communities and actively engaging in Cultural Infusion’s performing arts projects on the ground.

Use your skills to make a real difference in the lives of disadvantaged young people by volunteering and teaching at our Mayibuye Performance Troupe programs and other community centres.

All tours are accompanied by Cultural Infusion’s Australian staff, who are experienced at working with youth, running camps and international tours will travel with the group.

Our local volunteers will be with the group during the tour, and have in-depth knowledge of their communities, ensuring that you gain truly exceptional insight in local lives and culture.

Volunteer Placements

We offer volunteer placements at our projects in Cambodia and India. Our focus is on employing local Cambodians, so we only accept 2 overseas volunteers in each country at any one time.

What we look for in a volunteer

We are looking for volunteers who are truly passionate about the things we are passionate about!

These include:

Social Justice

Youth Work

International Development

The Arts (Dance, Art, Drama, Music etc)

Community Welfare

Culture and Anthropology

Volunteers need to be willing to keep their minds open to learning new things, challenging themselves, working with limited resources – and be ready for the experience of a lifetime!

Placements are available for 1 month-3 months.
