To date, ‘The Crom’ has been used for various events, workshops, forums, concerts, regular rehearsals for Cultural Infusion artists and theatre shows such as the following:

  • Rehearsals for artists, preparation for events such as the opening ceremony of the World Psychiatry International Conference 2007 (held at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre) and The Australia Day 2008 celebrations at Fed Square
  • the launch of Victorian National Youth Week 2007, and FReeZA youth events. Cultural Infusion aims to develop this capacity and explore future options for the venue.

  • The Victorian B-boy Championship 2008
  • Ongoing meetings for the Performing Arts Media Network which Cultural Infusion convenes on behalf of the Department of Education Early Childhood and Development. There are more than 50 cultural organisations which make up this network including Musica Viva, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Ozopera, the Songroom, Westside Circus, etc.
  • Undergound Loop – youth CD launch and art exhibition
  • Living Music – CD launch of youth in City of Yarra.
  • The launch of INDO Bboy Fusion in July, 2008

Cultural Infusion is very fortunate to be situated in modern facilities in Collingwood otherwise known as ‘The Crom’ – as well as having a large office space, complete with three meeting rooms – there is 500 square meters of rehearsal/performance space. This fantastic space located on the same site as the offices provides the perfect space for the development of creative works.

Cultural Infusion’s venue ‘The Crom’ has the space and facilities to accommodate rehearsals and deliver a range of activities including concerts, events and workshops.
